NomadNomic is an independent travel-planning website. We focus on travel in the United States. Our current collection starts with California and the Lake Tahoe region, covering coastal towns, island trips, national park visits and mountain road trips.

Our aim is to help you decide where to go, choose a base, understand transport and work out which parts of a trip need advance planning. We put practical information before booking recommendations.
How to use our guides
Start with the destination directory. Use the guide to narrow your choices, then confirm schedules, prices, availability and entry requirements with the relevant operator or official authority before paying.
Sources and experience
Some guides are researched planning articles rather than firsthand travel reports. A guide should not be read as proof that its author has personally visited every attraction, stayed at every hotel or tested every service mentioned. Where firsthand experience is available, it should be identified explicitly.
Travel illustrations are used in some existing articles. They are not evidence of a personal visit or a verified view from a particular room.
